1. In the past year I have really come to enjoy photography and am getting right into it!

2. I want a career in Graphic/Web Design one day but I still have ALOT to learn.

3. I finish my Pre Press Apprenticeship in a couple of months YIPEE.

4. I am way too obsessed with my pets.

1. What did you want to be when you were little?
Anything to do with animals!

2. If you could own any animal what would it be?
If it was a perfect world and I wasn't highly allergic to dogs, I would have a dog!

3. What is your favourite TV show at the moment?
Prison Break. Even though it's not on TV anymore me and the boyfriend are making our way through all the series.

4. What 4 words would you use to describe yourself?
Happy, Trustworthy, Self Conscious and Friendly

5. If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why?
To be honest I have no idea! Anyone like Courtney Brims, Bec Winnel or Kelly Smith who are amazing artists.

6.What is the best and worst about blogging?
Best - I enjoy finding things to blog about and reading and looking at other peoples style in
photography and design.  Blogger is a great source for inspiration!

Worst - Finding the time to blog and since I know not many people are reading my posts, I find it hard to motivate myself as I sometimes think why bother?

7. Finish this sentence, 'if you want to spoil me rotten, buy me...?
A trip around the world with lots of camera lens to play with :)

Nitza

This is Nitza (Greek for Helen) and this little cutie lives down Woollamia on the property next to Ryan's farm. Unfortunately her owner passed away and no one has come to claim her, therefore Ryan and his family along with the neighbours have taken on the job of feeding her. Although no one can get close enough to give her abit of a groom though, as she is terrified of people touching her. After I sat with her for hours on end she will now come up to people and take food out of your hand but thats abit it.

Symbio Wildlife Park

After buying a cheap Cudo deal for $9 entry to Symbio Wildlife Gardens Alanna and I took our cameras and spent the afternoon wondering around feeding and taking photos of some wildlife.
Despite the weather being freezing, we had a great afternoon (although for me its hard not enjoy myself when taking photos of animals! )

Albino Peacock - this little guy was really shy so was hard to get a decent photo!

The one on the right was my favourite! He/she loved attention and had beautiful long eyelashes

This thing tried to attack me when I went to give him some food :(

This photo I actually took on my iPhone, turned out really well mostly because he is so cute :)

Something Sweet

I made this for my friend for her birthday. I just put it in a plain chocolate brown wooden frame from Ikea and it looked quiet cute. Jess liked it to so that's the main thing!

I downloaded the jar from www.angiemakes.com. Angie has such beautiful vectors available for download at very affordable prices, she also has some freebies too (like this jar). This website was originally where I got the idea from as she has vectors for download of pretty flowers in jars but I wanted to try make my own. My flowers aren't to fancy cause I'm not good at drawing on illustrator but I will get there....one day!

Chinese Garden of Friendship

On one of Ryan's weeks back from working in the mines we had abit of a city day in Darling Harbour. After having some delicious Thai we went to the Darling Harbour Chinese Gardens of Friendship. I must say I was so impressed and did not expect something so beautiful to be in the middle of the city. For a mere $6 each we got to wonder around the gardens for as long as we liked, although we only spent an hour or so there. After playing with the giant Carp fish and taking way too many photos we had some yummy Chinese tea.

Pretty Purple Polish Logo

Awhile ago my friend Alanna asked me to design her a logo for her very successful nail polish blog  Pretty Purple Polish. For some reason it took me awhile to put together a full idea for this task and it wasn't till the very end that I really thought of an idea that I was happy with.

Since it took me awhile to come up with an idea this logo went through various stages and most of them I was never 100% satisfied with. I'm not even going post all the ideas as some are so horrible that Alanna didn't even get to see them.

My idea was to have a nail polish bottle as the main feature for the logo and I was really interested to see what a nail polish bottle would look like in a sketch/illustration  style. My first form of inspiration came from the following image.

I also liked the following image and had the thought of a hand holding a polish brush along side the polish bottle.

Based on these ideas I came up with the following logo idea.

This was almost going to be the final logo but I had a quick moment of thought and come up with a range of similar logos that Alanna loved!

In the end the final Pretty Purple Polish logo ended up as this and we both love it!! Check out her blog and see it used in her blogs new look. www.prettypurplepolish.com

One of my lovely friends picked me up a Bec Winnel postcard that Element Eden were kindly giving out at Splendor In The Grass this year.

I love it! Can't wait to buy a little frame for it :)

Wedding Stationary

My boss's second eldest daughter is getting married this year and I was lucky enough to get the task of designing the wedding stationary! I can't really take much credit for the design work as Bec already knew what she wanted in regards to layout and as the main background image but I still had fun creating it and seeing the final printed products.

On screen the design doesn't really do it much justice as the final product was printed on white/purple iridescence stock, therefore all white areas of the design had a white/purple glittery tinge to it. So beautiful!
